Memorial Ethics

A short, plain statement of what this site is and how it's cared for.

What this is

A friend-run memorial for Suzette Sooknanan Evans, built with her family's approval. It exists to preserve and share content she herself made public on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube during her lifetime.

This is not run by the family, and it doesn't speak for them. It's a place her friends made so her voice, her music, and her joy stay somewhere the internet can find them.

What we do

  • Preserve her public posts (photos, reels, songs) so they don't quietly disappear when a platform account is deleted.
  • Accept new photos and memories from anyone who knew her, after a light review to keep the page loving.
  • Cover hosting costs with a small amount of unobtrusive advertising in the footer — never near her name or her content.

What we won't do

  • Sell her image, her likeness, or her name.
  • Publish anything she asked to be kept private, or anything the family asks us to remove.
  • Add commentary or opinions in her name. Words attributed to her come directly from her own posts.

If something's wrong

Takedown requests are always honored. If you're in a photo you don't want on the page, if a caption is inaccurate, or if the family wants something removed — email suziesmallz@kortiva.com or use the contact form. We aim to remove flagged content within 48 hours, no questions asked.

The person behind this

The site is maintained by Carl — a friend of Suzette's. The technical platform is Kortiva.
